EM Geophysical Instrument

Along with centimeter-accuracy GPS location data, this instrument is used to create a 3D map of variations in soil density (conductivity). The instrument is used in levee and archeological surveys, and for border/military applications.

We were brought in late in the development schedule. Working closely with the company's geophysisist and an electromagnetics consultant, we designed a transmitter and receiver to work with the existing coil designs. We also wrote DSP firmware, host software and post processing software for this project. We are currently developing the 2nd generation of this instument.
